Professional Development: "InGameGration" Training Course in Latvia

Sigulda, Latvia

Our team recently returned from an intense and inspiring five-day journey in Sigulda, Latvia. The InGameGration training course brought together youth workers from Germany, Italy, and Latvia to explore innovative ways of engaging young people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • The Experience: Despite language barriers, participants quickly formed a cohesive team, focusing on gamification and storytelling as tools for integration.
  • The Focus: We tested games designed by youth, analyzed what makes gameplay engaging, and brainstormed new methods to foster empathy and cooperation.
  • The Result: Our team developed the first concept of a new game centered on multiculturality and fun. The project was presented at the Sigulda Youth Center Mērķis, where it received valuable expert feedback.
  • Next Steps: With the initial concept ready, we are now moving into the real game design phase!
